The Only Way Forward

Strikes continue in Tehran and Zahedan Bazaar attacked again by regime forces

Sabz-e Meidan (Vegetable Wholesale Market), Shoemakers Bazaar and Jewelers at Tehran’s grand Bazaar have been reported to be on strike. Only a handful of shops were open on Monday.

The Textile and Fabric Bazaar was also half closed, and few people went to shop.

Also, after the recent clashes in Zahedan, regime forces attacked shops in the bazaar of the city breaking their glasses.  Phones in the bazaar have been cut.

It has been reported that on the night of July 18, 2010, plainclothed militia in Zahedan raided shops of Baluch residents, destroyed them and set them on fire.

Due to this raid, the bazaars of Rasooli, Salmanzadeh and Rooz were closed on July 19.
