August 4, 2010 – An ISC member reported from Ahmadinejad’s trip to Hamedan to show how popular Ahmadinejad is. The regime had to bring in 213 buses (as far as the ISC member could count) from other townships to Hamedan province to try to appear as though he has a large following.
They were all given a hat, cake and soft-drinks to be substituted for the empty places of Hamedan residents.
The stadium’s capacity was only 10,000 and it wasn’t even half full, though Hamedan has half a million residents.
Hamedan’s IRGC Commander was not permitted into the VIP sits. He is shown leaning on empty sits after he quarreled with Ahmadinejad’s bodyguards; an example which well shows the deepening of the schism within the regime.
While Ahmadinejad was speaking, the crowd started leaving the stadium.
