Following writting, what he called his last letter, to the Supereme Leader, Mohammad Nourizad, documentary maker and activist, was once again called back to Evin prison. According to the reports, today in a phone call to Nourizad’s home, security agents demanded him to return to the prison immediately.

Mohammad Nourizad, documentary maker and activist, was once again called back to Evin prison. According to the reports, today in a phone call to Nourizad’s home, security agents demanded him to return to the prison immediately.

Meanwhile, moments before this Wednesday Iftar time (when Muslims break their fast in the evening during the Islamic month of Ramadan) Mohammad Nourizad in a short article on his website wrote:

I do not know where they are going to take me. I do not expect nice treatment. I do not expect good behaviour and conduct. They may beat me. Horribly. They may curse and insult my honour. Horribly. And they may even, as my interrogator said, consider me an enemy of God and send me to be executed. Whatever happens I accept with open arms; for the future of the people of my homeland. Farewell.

With respect, regards and appreciation: Mohammad Nourizad

29/5/89 (Aug 16, 2010) Hour before Iftar

The interrogators charged Nourizad for his criticisms and writing letters to the supreme leader and demanded that he does not write any articles while outside the prison but this illegal request was rejected by Mohammad Nourizad. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Mohammad Nourizad wrote a letter to the supreme leader in which he expressed his concerns for the country and the future of the revolution. In his letter addressed to the supreme leader, he wrote:

We all like to see you at the height of respect and see a good name of you in the history of this land. You are now two steps away from this wonderful horizon. Over the past year, our people suffered damage, division and great separation by the hand of the very same shadow-like powers. We hope for a day in the near future that with your wisdom, all betrayals turn into harmony, and all separations turn into unity; and this will not be possible unless by giving a role to the people’s perception. A government that establishes itself on the basis of the imprudence of its people is definitely suitable for annihilation. And you know better than us that we (the society) have no option other than calling on the wisdoms and listening to the people’s demand.”

Also at the end of his letter, Mohammad Nourizad had offered a suggestion for the supreme leader to make peace with the people by releasing the political prisoners from jail. It seems that bringing Mohammad Nourizad back to prison is the response to this suggestion.
