‎Security forces in Tehran attacked a 40 year old annual meeting, traditionally held in honor of the “Tasua”.  This meeting which was held at Hashem Sabbaghian’s home, was first surrounded by dozens of police forces and “secret service” agents and then attacked.

Hashem Sabbaghian, the first interior minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran and member of the freedom party was arrested together with Hojjatoleslam Soleymani, a member of Qom Seminary Researchers and Teachers.  Reportedly, Sabbaqian was released a few hours later after signing an oath never to hold  religious ceremonies in his home.
