As we approach the ten month mark since the house arrest of the companions of the Green movement, Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard were reportedly allowed to leave their house to visit with Mousavi’s brothers and sisters on Eyde Ghadir. It is worth mentioning that contrary to the claims made by certain officials both domestically and to international human rights organizations at large, the house arrest of Mousavi and Rahnavard continues despite the fact that they have not been officially charged with a crime, sentenced in a court of law and afforded judicial due process.
The reported visit took place with the presence of security forces at the house of Mir Hossein Mousavi’s eldest brother Haj Mir Abollah Mousavi and was the first of such visits after 230 days of isolation.
