According to reports from this clash, at 3 pm on Wednesday in the Artesh Square, when a State Security Force agent intended to arrest a young girl and boy, dozens of arrested young people who were in a bus and those who were witnessing the scene stopped the security forces.
They chanted, ‘Security Forces get lost’. A officer who intended to attack the protesters angered the people and he was severely beaten by the bystanders. All the detainees escaped during the clash.

Foolad Shahr, Jan. 3, 2011
Suppressive forces attacked the house of one of the Gonabadi Dervishes in Foolad Shahr at 10:30 am on Monday Jan. 3 and arrested their Sheikh, Mr. Seyyed Morteza Mahjoobi along with five of his comrades and transferred them to Isfahan’s Central Prison. During the raid they beat all those in the house including the ladies and injured some.
Hearing the news, his supporters from Isfahan and other nearby townships gathered in protest in front of the prison. The suppressive forces drew guns at them in an attempt to disperse them, but they resisted and stayed put.
After 5 hours of resistance, prison officials had to free the Shiekh and his son. But others who were arrested are still in prison and their supporters are still going to join the protest gathering in front of the prison.

At 9 pm on Wednesday, December 15, clashes occurred between people and Bassij forces near the home of dissident cleric, Ayatollah Taheri. This clash occurred when Bassij forces violently entered the mourning group and started using profane language and chanting ‘death to anti-Velayate Faqih (anti-Supreme Leader meaning Khamenei),’ and in response the people started chanting ‘death to dictator’ and ‘Abbas (referring to a revered Shiite saint) oust Khamenei’. A number of security force cars immediately entered the scene and arrested at least 10 people. A 23 year old girl was also severely beaten by security forces and is currently hospitalized.
Also, clashes have taken place between groups of mourning Dervishes and security forces in Shahrekord. The 150 mourning Dervishes intended to leave their station at about 4 pm on December 15. They had put up a large picture of Dervish leaders on their mourning banner. Security forces interfered and did not allow them to leave their station. Despite this, they left their station which led to clashes with security forces. This clash ended when 10 elderly Dervishes intervened.
Also on December 15, at about 9 pm a number of young people beat up five security forces from the Shah Abdolazim Police Station in Shahr-e Rey. The young protesters broke the windows of a police car and chanted ‘death to Khamenei’. All the government forces who were beaten up by the people were scared and confused and were not able to show a reaction.

According to eye witnesses, in the past week, a number of new motorcycles were given to Bassiji’s in this mosque and they showed off the new motorcycles by constantly riding them around trying to create an atmosphere of fear. People in this area stole one of these motorcycles and burned it a few streets away from the mosque.

ISC – Students of the Physical Training University in Isfahan held a demonstration against the Basij students. They shouted; “Victory is on the way, down with the seducing government” and “We did not give martyrs to assimilate and to praise the leadership”.
Following the threats of the basij, the students took their protest outside the university to the Azadi Square.
